Product Description
Cold drawn steel wire used for producing steel bars in the tensile zone of prestressed concrete components. Generally, concrete has high strength in compression, but when subjected to tensile force, it exhibits brittleness and is prone to cracking. Pre stressed concrete refers to the process of subjecting the steel bars in the tensile zone of a component to a tensile force in advance, resulting in pre tensile stress. The pre tensile stress on the steel bars reacts to the pre compressive stress in the tensile zone, which can offset or reduce the tensile stress exerted by external loads on the concrete, greatly improving the tensile resistance of the tensile zone, thereby reducing the size of the component, saving materials, and reducing the self weight of the component. Due to these advantages, prestressed concrete components have been successfully applied in many engineering projects such as large bridges, roof trusses, crane beams, industrial and civil prefabricated floor slabs, iron track sleepers, electric pole pipe piles, large-diameter prefabricated pipelines, and atomic power stations. The production of prestressed steel wire has developed rapidly with the widespread application of prestressed concrete components.
