Smooth wire rope refers to a surface treated non galvanized steel wire that is drawn from a 6.5mm high wire into fine strands, first twisted into small strands, and then twisted into a synthetic rope. In 1834, European Orubt invented the world's first steel wire rope (smooth steel wire rope). Tianjin First Steel Wire Rope Factory, established in 1939, was the first metal product enterprise in China. China has been producing and using smooth steel wire rope for more than 70 years.
According to the classification of steel wire surface conditions, there were only smooth steel wire ropes and galvanized steel wire ropes in the past. Phosphating coating steel wire ropes is a patented technology that has emerged in the past two years. The phosphating treatment of rope making steel wires is preferred to use manganese or zinc manganese series phosphating. After phosphating, the steel wire does not undergo any drawing processing, and the phosphating steel wire is directly used to lay the steel wire rope. Due to the phosphating coating, the surface of the steel wire is more wear-resistant, The service life of phosphating steel wire rope is 2-3 times that of smooth steel wire rope, and the fatigue resistance of steel wire rope is greatly improved [1]
